Who we are and what we're building.
Current plant and farm monitoring is either purely visual โ missing sub-visible issues like root rot until it's too late โ or purely sensor-based without AI interpretation. FarmLink combines live multi-sensor hardware data with AI photo diagnosis in a single workflow, so farm managers catch problems weeks before symptoms appear.
A Raspberry Pi + LoRa HAT gateway connects to solar-powered ESP32 field nodes and commercial-grade T-HiGrow sensors across a farm. Our AI "Plant Vet" engine fuses live sensor data, photo diagnosis, and species-specific thresholds into a structured, farmer-readable diagnosis โ no technical expertise required.

Team "Dreamers" (Hong Kong Metropolitan University) was recognized in the Senior Group category for FarmLink's approach to accessible, AI-driven farm monitoring.
FarmLink completed a farmer survey (10 responses from active operators, 4 Junโ26 Jul 2026), confirming strong demand for 24/7 monitoring and alerting, with extreme-weather early warning as the top-requested feature.
